Julia Fox just seemingly came out as lesbian in the most Julia Fox way ever: With an iconic quote. The actress just created a witty TikTok video revealing her sexuality and in the clip, she stitched a video created by Emily Gracin, in which she joked about seeing “a lesbian with their boyfriend.”
“It’s like, ‘Aw, you hate that man,'” the comedian said.
Fox then appeared in the video, saying, “Hey, that was me. I was that lesbian.” She teased her exes at the end, adding, “So sorry, boys. Won’t happen again.”
Fox married Peter Artemiev, with whom she shares son Valentino, in 2018. However, the two divorced in 2020. She then went on to famously date Kanye West in 2022.
Earlier this year, Fox opened up about the very public relationship with West in an InStyle interview, saying that she doesn’t ever want to “just be known as someone’s girlfriend.”
“I know I’m so much more than that. And I feel like that happens so much to women in this industry,” she said. “They’re only as good as their partner or they can make a whole career off being some guy’s partner. But regardless, either way, it becomes their identity. And I feel like I have to transcend that, and I want to break that mold, and I want to just stand on my own two feet and not need a man to back me. I did that for years. I’m good. I have established myself, and I want to keep establishing myself. And maybe one day I’ll even be taken seriously.”
Elsewhere in the story, Fox spoke briefly about sexuality and how being around a “cisgender heterosexual man” can make her feel “uncomfortable.”
“Whenever I’m around a cisgender heterosexual man, I get so disoriented. I’m like, Oh. Because I just never…I’m always around gay men, or queer people,” she explained. “Whenever I’m just around normies, I feel the difference in the energy. I start to feel a little uncomfortable, too. Because we’re different! We have a different language. We’re aliens, or they’re aliens actually. I feel like we’re normal and they’re aliens.”
