Kim Kardashian is officially returning to the big screen to put her acting chops—and knowledge of the law—to the test again. She will star in a new Ryan Murphy legal drama currently titled All’s Fair, which is already making a case for being must-see TV with a star-studded cast of industry heavy hitters like Glenn Close and Halle Berry.
The series was originally announced in December 2023, and is reported to follow an all-female divorce law firm in Los Angeles. Murphy described the program as “a high-end, glossy, and sexy adult procedural,” per Deadline.
Murphy serves as a writer, director, and executive producer on the series, though, he has been tight-lipped about details surrounding Berry and Close’s characters. It was revealed, however, that Kardashian will portray a powerhouse lawyer and owner of the firm. The three women will also serve as executive producers. See everything we know about the series, ahead.
All’s Fair Plot
In a May episode of The Kardashians, Kardashian and Murphy sat down to discuss the upcoming series, which was just an idea at the time. Murphy explained that studio executives loved her performance in American Horror Story to the point where they asked, “Do you think Kim would want to do her own show?” He went on to pitch the series.
“Kim is the world’s best, most expensive divorce lawyer in the world,” he said on the show. “When you’re going through a divorce, I would imagine that you’re very close to your lawyer and you tell them everything. It has what Sex and the City has, which is girlfriends. It has a bond of women trying to get through an experience together.”
All’s Fair Cast
Kardashian made her acting debut in Murphy’s AHS: Delicate as icy publicist Siobhan Corbyn. Kim, of course, is no stranger to the camera, as her Hulu reality show The Kardashians is now in its fifth season, following E!’s 20-season run of Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
This also isn’t the Skims founder’s first foray into the legal world—she has been studying for her law degree since 2019 and passed the “baby bar” in 2021. She has also shared that she plans to take the bar in February 2025 to become a full-fledged attorney.
Meanwhile, this will be Close’s second time starring in a legal drama; she famously portrayed lawyer Patty Hewes on FX’s Damages. The show also marks Berry’s return to television following the 2014 series Extant.
All’s Fair Release Date
The series is expected to start production later this year and will premiere in early 2025 on Hulu, according to Deadline.
